My parents John and Joyce Willoughby farm in Wood River. My mother is a graduate of Wood River High School and is also on the School Board, just like my grandfather. I have 3 younger sisters: Amber, Taylor and Johhna. Amber is a senior at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln and will graduate with a nursing degree in May. Taylor is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently studying abroad in the Czech Republic. Johnna is an 8th grader at Wood River. I met my fiance Bryce Consbruck in college. He is a Sale Agronomist with Cargill. This November Bryce completely surprised me, with the help of my 1st graders he proposed and I said yes. The happiest day of our lives is only 138 days away. We will be getting married on July 30, 2016!
Teaching:
I am so blessed to be living and teaching in my hometown. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education in December 2014. After student teaching at Carriage Hill Elementary in Papillion-LaVista I accepted a part time 3rd grade/part time title math position at Wood River Elementary. I started teaching in January 2015 in the middle of the school year after the 3rd grade class grew to 54 students. Now I am lucky enough to be teaching 1st grade. What a crazy yet wonderful adventure this year and a half has been!
