My teaching duties include Biology, Practical Science, and middle school P.E. I also coach high school wrestling and track.
A little about myself:
I was born in Omaha on May 1st 1990.
I grew up and went to school in Bellevue, NE, which is just south of Omaha.
I graduated from Bellevue West High School in 2009.
While I was there I participated in music, both instrumental and choral and sports.
I was a tenor saxophone player in band and a baritone in choir.
I participated in Football, Wrestling and Golf.
I went to the University of Nebraska-Omaha and graduated with a bachelors degree in general science.
I went to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated with a masters degree in education.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends, family and my dog, Duke. I recently got in engaged to the most beautiful woman in the world. Her name is Erin and she is in her 2nd year of law school at UNL. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing, gaming, watching Netflix, etc.
I have to say that after living in town for about 7 months, I absolutely love it here. Since I moved here, I've really noticed the joy of small town living. During this past snow storm I had no idea how I was going to shovel my way out. The neighbors came over and we were done in no time. That doesn't happen too often in the neighborhood I grew up in.
I consider myself to be very fortunate to start my teaching career in Wood River. I've had many opportunities to attend workshops and seminars as well as figure out my "style" of teaching. The staff, students, and community have all been very supportive. Being able to teach and coach in this town has been a dream come true. Thank you for your support and please, if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
