About MeHi! My name is Emily Loy and I’m a senior at Wood River High School. My Parents are Scott and Carrie Loy and I have one older sibling, Chris. I am involved in numerous activities both in and outside of school; these activities include, FCA, NHS Vice President, FBLA, 4-H, 4-H Council, Band, YLT, Student Council, Cross Country, Basketball, and Track and Field. Once I graduate, I plan on attending Concordia University while majoring in Elementary Education and receive my coaching endorsement. I also plan on continuing my track and field career while there. Cross CountryI have been involved in Cross Country from my sophomore to senior year. The Cross Country team this year has truly become a family to me. Not being able to run with them next year will be something I miss the most from high school. Track & FieldI have been involved in Track for four years; my events include the 100m dash, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles and the 4x1 and 4x4 relay. I have qualified for the State Track meet in both my sophomore and junior years as well as earning a state medal in the 4x100 relay both years and breaking the school record in that relay. I will definitely miss running with and against all the great athletes on the team as well as having a great coaching staff to perform for throughout high school.
