When I transfered to Wood River my junior year not a lot of people knew I am a Native American
from Sioux City Iowa. I am a member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, raise by my mother (Lea Bird) and
father (Anson Bird). I know everyone says they wouldn't be where they are at now without their
parents, but when I say it I really mean it because they sacrificed a'lot for me to be where I am now
and one day I am gonna repay the favor back to them by being successful in what I want to do
when I graduate. After high school I will be attending college at Wanye State and major in Music
Industry to follow my career in being a hip-hop artist and producer. When I become big in the hip-
hop industry I will gladly come back to Wood River and do a performance "for the right price."
With all jokes aside I really want to thank the Wood River community for accepting me as one of
their own and giving me all the love and support I have gotten in football you guys were truly our
12th man coming to every game making your presents known in the stands. All in all I am a very
passionate respectful young man that gives 100 percent effort in everything I put my mind too so
when I say I'm gonna be successful in what I want to do I really mean it. I think whenever you have
a mindset like that the only person who can truly stop you is yourself.
