Think Thursdays are spent informing the students of technology updates in addition to learning about safety on the Internet. Students are reminded to THINK before posting remembering that it should be true, helpful, inspiring, necessary and kind.
Since prime times are a combination of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade youth; the rest of the days are used for a variety of activities that help build skills and camaraderie. January’s focus has been on board games and other games. These games are fun besides offering fantastic learning opportunities both educational and social -- skills such as communicating with each other, collaborating, sharing, waiting turns, and just enjoying time with friends. It is also important to note that life skills are demonstrated since luck can change quickly -- for the better or the worse. But keep in the game and don’t give up.
Finally, board games provide the opportunity to sharpen the mind for quick decision- making, identifying patterns, and reasoning logically. So enjoy some board games and reap the rewards!
