Hi my name is Zoe Reineke. I am a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am involved in the art club, art, and choir. I have been involved in helping with our local nursing home since I was very young. I have been highly involved in painting the sets for the play and doing makeup since I was a sophomore. Next year I plan to attend Xenon in Grand Island to become an esthetician and cosmetologist, then further my training in special effects makeup at a bigger school. After college I hope to start up my own salon somewhere in Nebraska.
Hi, my name is Abbie Lynn Philmalee and I am currently a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am the daughter of Rick and Liane Philmalee and older sister of Sara Philmalee (6th grader). We have two rambunctious, loving labs, one grumpy Siamese, and one quiet hedgehog. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, playing with all sorts of animals, creating projects from Pinterest, and hunting. Throughout high school I have been involved in many activities such as volleyball, basketball, FBLA, FFA, National Honors Society, Letter Club, Leader in Me, Close-Up, Spanish Club, and the Spring Play as stage manager. Currently, I am the secretary for both Letter Club and my senior class, as well as treasurer and chairwoman for the Growing Leaders committee in my local FFA chapter. Last year, I had the opportunity to be apart of the Youth Leadership Tomorrow (YLT), and I graduated this program in June of 2017 as part of Class #20.
Upon graduating high school, I plan on attending the University of Nebraska Lincoln and majoring in animal science while taking pre-vet requisite courses and specializing in equine sciences. After completing my four year degree, I plan on applying to as many Accredited Veterinary Colleges as I can in order to pursue my passion and lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.

My name is MaKenzie Peters and I am currently a senior at Wood River High School. I am the daughter of Steve and Lori Peters, and we live outside of Wood River on a farm. We have two horses, some ducks and chickens, and four dogs. I have two brothers Kaden (sophomore), and Kevan (8th grader), and I also have a sister Macie (6th grader). I will have been involved in volleyball, basketball, and track for all four years of high school. I am also a member of the letter club, art club, Leader In Me, and Close-Up. I am also the president of National Honor Society, and my senior class. I enjoy doing art, and learning how to do different styles of calligraphy and hand lettering.
After graduating high school I plan on attending Hastings College to major in Nursing. In four years, I will acquire from Hastings College both a degree in health systems, and a degree from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

After high school I plan to go to college at CCC in Hastings. I plan to go to college to pursue a degree as an electrician. I want to be an electrician because if I want to go back to the family farm I can. If I don't want to go back to the family farm, I can work as an electrician. Being an electrician doesn't limit my choices in jobs and that is one reason I am going to college to be one.
My name is Alec Ogden and I am a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am from a pretty big family that consists of seven. I have two older sisters, a twin brother, and a younger sister. We live on our family farm, where I help my dad. After high school I plan on going to UNL and majoring in Agronomy. I plan on coming back occasionally on the weekends to help my dad farm. Eventually after college, I plan to slowly start taking over the family farm.

My name is Gabrielle Luehr, and I am currently a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am the third of five children born and raised on a farm in rural Wood River. My father, Dean, is a farmer and my mother, Rebecca, is a physical therapist. I have been blessed with two older sisters and two younger brothers. Madeline, the oldest, is 20 and recently married and living in town while continuing to attend Concordia University. Samantha, the second, is currently 19 and attending Concordia University in Seward as well. Gideon, my younger brother, is 15 and a sophomore at Wood River, and Joshua, the baby of the family, is 11 and a sixth grader. I am active in a multitude of extracurricular activities including: FBLA, FCA, NHS, All School Play, Letter Club, Close-Up, Leader in Me, tutor, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Band, Speech and One Act. My future plans include attending Concordia University and majoring in Exercise Science while pursuing a Physical Therapy degree. My ultimate goal would be to be a Pediatric Therapist and work with children that have developed or been born with physical disabilities or slow motor skills. I want to be able to help them so that they can have successful adult lives without physical limitations. While at Concordia I plan on being a double sport athlete playing basketball and throwing the shot put. Ultimately, I wish to glorify my Lord and Savior through my life and seek to find His will for me. During rare free time, I enjoy swimming, dancing, riding four wheelers, playing with kids, watching movies and listening to loud music.
My name is Cade Ludwig, I'm involved in FBLA, Football, National Honors Society, Leader in

year I became FBLA President. I have one brother, Hunter, he goes to UNK to become a
teacher in the elementary. I spend nearly all my time outdoors hunting, trapping, or fishing. I

Yo yo yo. My name is Maria Rose Johnson, I'm 18 years old, and a senior at Wood River High
School. I am the daughter of Caleb and Jordyn Johnson, who are not only the biggest support
system in my life but also the best friends I could ever ask for. I have two little brothers,
Christian and Levi, who both attend Wood River Elementary School. During my high school
career, I have been involved in a variety of extra curricular activities such as (takes a big gulp of
air) National Honors Society, Yearbook, FBLA, Spanish Club, High Ability Learners, the All-School
Play, Days for Girls, Speech, One-Act, Student Council, Quiz Bowl, and Letter Club (exhales). Out
of all these activities, my proudest accomplishments have come from Yearbook. My senior year,
I was given the top position of Editor-In-Chief. When I'm not in school, you can catch me on the

Hi! My name is Lexi Jepson and I am currently a senior at Wood River High School. I am the daughter of Tiffani Jepson. My mom not only is my best friend, but has taken on the role of both parents and I have so much admiration for her because of that. I have four younger siblings and they are Devin, Brayden, Landon, and Braelynn, who all attend Wood River except Braelynn, who is one. They make me see life in a different perspective and teach me new things everyday and I'm beyond grateful for that. We also have two crazy, but lovable pets and they include: a cat named Cali and a dog named Roofus. Hi my name is Audie Earnest. I’m a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I’m the daughter of Brad and Amy Earnest. I have two brothers, Dylan is currently a Freshman at Wood River, and Blake is currently a Sophomore at Hastings College. After High School I plan on attending Hastings College or Northeast Community College majoring in Education with a minor in coaching. I also plan on continuing my interest in community service, and I’m going to volunteer at a local humane society.
My name is Kiley Lynn Codner (or Fish), and I am a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am the daughter of Mark and Brenda Codner, and we live on our family farm outside of Wood River. My family also consists of my sisters Baylie who is a freshman at Wood River High School and Rylee who is a 3rd grader at Wood River Elementary. As well as my puppy, Marlee, my horse, Montana, and my small herd of cows (also a few cats). Next year I plan on attending Southeast Community College in Beatrice and majoring in agriculture. I am still deciding whether I am going to play volleyball at college.
Throughout my four years at Wood River I have been involved in many activities and organizations. I played Volleyball and received the Omaha World-Herald All State Honorable Mention and also served as team captain. Hello, my name is Dakota and I am currently a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am a member of Close Up, which is a group of students who raise money over the course of high school to take a trip to Washington D.C. I also participated in cross country and wrestling. Other activities I’m involved in include band and choir. Currently, I work a side job as a cook at Burger King to save money for college. Hi my name is Dalton Boltz. After I graduate, I plan on working for a little bit then going to boot camp for the marines. After that I am not sure what I’ll do. I will enjoy graduating from WRHS because people will know that I really tried my hardest to get to where I am. Music is a big thing that got me through high school. It helped me concentrate when I needed to or calmed me down when I got a little hot headed. Without it I don’t know if I would have been able to handle high school.

I am the spawn of Marty and Kim Barg and am the youngest and only girl of my three older brothers Jordan, Dakota, and Austin. I am a member of various school groups such as NHS, FBLA, Spanish Club, Letter Club, and I am a senior leader. When I’m not at school I will probably be working as a senior Sandwich Artist™ at my local Subway. I’m a bit of a nerd and actually enjoy school and learning, which is why I will be attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln next fall. I have no idea what I want to do with my life but as of right now I believe I want to spend my life working with animals in some way, shape, or form. But who knows, I might end up majoring in English or something drastically different.

I take my academics very seriously and have been on the Honor Roll every year. After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney while majoring in Middle Grades Education.
Throughout high school, I have participated in basketball for two years, cross country for three years, and track for four years.
