My name is Lily Woitaszewski and I am currently a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I am the daughter of Larry and Anne Woitaszewski, and we live on our family farm outside of Wood River. My family also consists of my brother Lance who is a sophomore at Wood River High School, and my sister Lacey who is a teacher at Gates Elementary School in Grand Island. After high school, I plan to play softball and attend Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, and major in agriculture with an emphasis on agronomy. I have been an active high school athlete in softball, basketball, and track. Other activities that I participate in are FBLA, FFA (vice president), 4-H, Spanish Club, One Act, Speech, Letter Club, freshman mentoring, and National Honors Society (treasurer). I also enjoy fishing, working on our family farm, showing livestock, and spending time with friends in the summer.

Mrs. Loudon has settled in to Mrs. Sochor's room and has begun teaching agricultural education in Wood River! This department was closed in 1989, and is the first time that a female has taught ag. ed. in Wood River. Classes that are offered this year are: Heads Up Ag., Food Science, Nutrition Science, Natural Resources, Biotechnology, Plant Science, and Exploratory Agriculture for the 8th grade class. It will be an exciting year full of firsts and newness!
