Cross CountryI have been involved in Cross Country from my sophomore to senior year. The Cross Country team this year has truly become a family to me. Not being able to run with them next year will be something I miss the most from high school. Track & FieldI have been involved in Track for four years; my events include the 100m dash, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles and the 4x1 and 4x4 relay. I have qualified for the State Track meet in both my sophomore and junior years as well as earning a state medal in the 4x100 relay both years and breaking the school record in that relay. I will definitely miss running with and against all the great athletes on the team as well as having a great coaching staff to perform for throughout high school.

My name is Norma Elizabeth Hernandez, and I am currently a senior at Wood River. My parents are Julian and Lucila Hernandez. I have a sister name Ruth, a half sister name Maria, and I also have a brother named Moises. During my high school career, I have participated in cross country, basketball, and track. I am a member of Spanish Club and FBLA. Throughout high school I've enjoyed getting to know the teachers most of all. The teachers have not only helped me academically, but in my personal life as well. I aspire to be a preacher.
One of my favorite things to do is preach the word of God. It is something that inspires me, and I love to inspire other people by sharing the love of Christ. Some day I have hopes of sharing my love for God around the world. Hi! My name is Ruth Hernandez. I'm 19 years old, and I'm a senior at Wood River High School. My dad’s name is Julian Hernandez. I have a full brother and a sister, Moises and Norma Hernandez. In some of my high school years, I did track and field, cross country, and some basketball. Some of the things that I also participate in is FBLA and Spanish Club. Overall, even though high school has been a challenge for me, I have really enjoyed learning new things for the long run. I know for sure that I will miss school, especially all my teachers. After high school, I plan to attend Central Community College to hopefully become a dental hygienist. After college? I don't know. I will have to wait and see what the future holds.
