| Hi there! My name is Ryan Anthony Woitalewicz and I’m a senior at Wood River High School. I am the son of Melissa and (the late) Kenny Woitalewicz. My mother will always be someone I admire to be. She has performed the role of both my parents ever since the age of four years old, and she never seems to amaze me with the accomplishments that she can do. I also have two siblings and they include Matt, who is a 2012 graduate from Wood River High School. He holds a career as a firefighter in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has always been my go-to when things are rough, and without him, I wouldn't be the person I am today. And Logan, who is a fifth grader at the elementary, keeps me on my feet. He is a ball of fire and can light up any room with his sense of humor. There's another special person in my life, Chad, he came into my family when I was only six years old. He has supported me and all my endeavors and I appreciate everything he's done for me. I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my friends and family. I will most definitely miss the atmosphere of Wood River and interacting with my peers daily, however, I am ready for this next chapter in my life! After high school, I plan on attending Southeast Community College in Lincoln. I will begin a profession by studying Business Administration. Upon completion of the required coursework, I look forward to furthering my education even higher to a Bachelor’s degree. Fine Arts I have been apart of the Fine Arts all four years of high school. During my sophomore year, we performed the musical, Annie, and I was held responsible for the lights and sound of the production. I also had a small part in the production as well. Another musical I was apart of was in April of 2016. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and audition for the lead role of Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music. It was definitely a learning experience and it also was a great show for all. Just recently, I was involved in the spring play and portrayed the lead role of Thesus in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. I was very excited to watch it come together as it was my last performance of my high school career. A few of my favorite productions that I was involved in:

SynopsisDuke Theseus and Hippolyta are preparing for their wedding, when Egia arrives with her daughter Hermia, along with Lysander and Demetrius. Hermia and Lysander love each other; but Egia wants Hermia to marry Demetrius (who is loved by Helena). Theseus insists that Egia must have her way, and gives Hermia a month to marry Demetrius, or either die or become a nun. Hermia and Lysander decide to run away and to meet in the forest. Hermia tells Helena of their plans, and she in turn tells Demetrius, in the hope that he will like her more for telling him. Demetrius chases after the eloping couple, and Helena chases after him. A group of tradesmen meet to discuss a play on the theme of Pyramus and Thisbe which they want to perform at Theseus’ wedding. They plan to rehearse in the forest. Oberon and Titania, the king and queen of the fairies, are arguing over who should have a changeling boy that Titania has stolen. Titania will not give him up, so Oberon takes his revenge by having his servant Puck find a special flower whose juice he will squeeze onto Titania’s eyes while she is asleep. This will maker her fall in love with the first person she sees upon waking. Oberon, seeing Demetrius reject Helena, tells Puck to put the potion on Demetrius’ eyes also. But Puck mistakes Lysander for Demetrius, and Lysander wakes to see Helena, whom he falls in love with and chases after, leaving Hermia alone. The rustics begin their rehearsal near where Titania is sleeping. Puck gives Bottom an ass’s head. Bottom frightens his friends away, and in doing so wakes Titania. She falls in love with him, and Bottom is treated like a lord by the fairy retinue. Hermia, having lost Lysander, thinks Demetrius has killed him, and when he denies it she goes to look for him. Oberon is furious with Puck for his mistake and tells her to find Helena and bring her to him. Oberon squeezes the flower onto Demetrius’ eyes while he sleeps. Lysander enters with Helena, begging for her love, telling her Demetrius does not love her; Demetrius then wakes, sees Helena, and begs for her love. Hermia enters and is snubbed by Lysander, while Helena thinks all three are tricking her. Demetrius and Lysander challenge each other to a duel. Oberon gets Puck lead all four Athenians to the same place to fall asleep. Puck puts an antidote on Lysander’s eyes so that he resumes his love for Hermia. Oberon then releases Titania from her spell, having received the changeling boy from her. Puck removes the ass’s head from Bottom. Theseus and Hippolyta arrive to hunt in the forest, along with Egia, where they discover the sleeping lovers. They hear their story, and Theseus decrees they shall be married as they wish, despite Egia’s will. Bottom is reunited with his friends, and they rehearse their play, which has been selected as one of those to be made available as entertainment at the wedding. After supper, Theseus chooses their play, which is presented in front of an audience of all the lovers. They all retire to bed, and Puck is left to address the audience. Cast

About MeMy name is Haley Jo Parlin (or Bean), and I am a senior at Wood River High School. I'm the daughter of Bobbi and Darren Parlin and older sister of Faith and Abby Parlin. I've lived in Wood River my entire life and can't imagine growing up anywhere else. Most of my family lives in Wood River or very near it, and I am thankful for that because it allows us to be as close as we are. I take school very seriously and have been on every honor roll and been in the top 10 students of my class every time possible. Next year I plan on attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney, but have not yet decided on a major. All I know is I want to be in a job that allows me to help people and make them smile everyday. ActivitiesThroughout my four years at Wood River I have been involved in many activities and organizations. I played volleyball for all four years and basketball up until my senior year. I am FBLA Vice President, Student Council Vice President, and NHS president. I am also involved in Spanish club, letter club, and freshman 7 mentoring. Because I love to write I have been a part of Journalism throughout high school, and I am now one of two Copy Managers. This year I am one of the Leads in the All school play. I also sing in the choir at my church and teach a Fifth Grade Sunday School class. Music Music is my passion and I have been actively involved in music all four years of high school participating in choir, show choir, and being the Drum Majorette in Band. I had the privilege of making all three of the possible choirs for the UNK choir festival at some point. I made the Women's Choir my sophomore year, the Festival Choir my junior year, and the Honor Choir my senior year. I also went to the Doane Honor Choir this year and had a blast. I was part of two musicals, Annie and the Sound of Music, and had leads in both. FavoritesFood: Mashed Potatoes

Jeremiah 29:11 My name is Samantha Luehr, and I am a senior at Wood River Rural High School. My relationship with Jesus Christ defines who I am as a person. I both value and love the fact that Jesus is Lord of my life. Without Him, I would be utterly lost. My family holds a very special place in my heart as well. My father, Dean, is a pig farmer that has a passion for Christ and for providing for his family. My mother, a physical therapist, creates a loving home with her continuous care, and she makes the most delicious food! I have four siblings: Matty, the oldest, attends Concordia University and is getting married this April. Elle, my younger sister, loves to talk to people, and she is currently a junior in high school. Gideon, a freshman in high school, is growing like a weed at 14 years of age. Joshua, a fifth grader, adds life and drama to the family with his never-ending energy and volume. Madoc, my black, white, and brown Welsh Corgi, completes the family with his adamant love for chasing birds (I also have a ton of cats). As a student of Wood River, I am very involved in many different clubs, sports, and organizations. I play three sports: volleyball, basketball, and track. I am involved in FBLA, National Honors Society, FCA, Freshman 7, Band, and the All School Plays and Musicals. For four years I have been the FCA leader of the Leadership Team, and I have had the fortunate opportunity to help the Freshman form healthy habits through the Freshman 7 program this year. For three years, I have been the Stage Manager for the All School Plays and Musicals, but this year, I plan to step out from behind the curtain and act on the stage itself. Last year, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Youth Leadership of Tomorrow Program (YLT), and I graduated this program in June of 2016 in the Class 19. After high school, I plan to attend Concordia University with my sister Matty. I am undecided on what I would like to study, but I am confident that I will find my passion in college. While attending Concordia, I plan to play on the Concordia Women’s Basketball team. Finally, I enjoy working on the pig farm with my Dad. For the past two summers, I had the opportunity to work full time alongside my Father on the farm. Although many tasks were both physically and mentally challenging, I thoroughly enjoyed the experiences that I had on a day to day basis. Pigs are now my favorite animal. My favorite part of farm work is being able to see the glorious sunrises and sunsets come and go with their blazing color. Ultimately, I am ready to take the next step in my life, and I am excited for the opportunities and experiences that God has for me in this new world of college.
