Hi there! My name is Ryan Anthony Woitalewicz and I’m a senior at Wood River High School. I am the son of Melissa and (the late) Kenny Woitalewicz. My mother will always be someone I admire to be. She has performed the role of both my parents ever since the age of four years old, and she never seems to amaze me with the accomplishments that she can do. I also have two siblings and they include Matt, who is a 2012 graduate from Wood River High School. He holds a career as a firefighter in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has always been my go-to when things are rough, and without him, I wouldn't be the person I am today. And Logan, who is a fifth grader at the elementary, keeps me on my feet. He is a ball of fire and can light up any room with his sense of humor. There's another special person in my life, Chad, he came into my family when I was only six years old. He has supported me and all my endeavors and I appreciate everything he's done for me.
I enjoy spending as much time as I can with my friends and family. I will most definitely miss the atmosphere of Wood River and interacting with my peers daily, however, I am ready for this next chapter in my life! After high school, I plan on attending Southeast Community College in Lincoln. I will begin a profession by studying Business Administration. Upon completion of the required coursework, I look forward to furthering my education even higher to a Bachelor’s degree.
I have been apart of the Fine Arts all four years of high school. During my sophomore year, we performed the musical, Annie, and I was held responsible for the lights and sound of the production. I also had a small part in the production as well. Another musical I was apart of was in April of 2016. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and audition for the lead role of Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music. It was definitely a learning experience and it also was a great show for all. Just recently, I was involved in the spring play and portrayed the lead role of Thesus in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. I was very excited to watch it come together as it was my last performance of my high school career.
A few of my favorite productions that I was involved in:
My name is Haley Jo Parlin (or Bean), and I am a senior at Wood River High School. I'm the daughter of Bobbi and Darren Parlin and older sister of Faith and Abby Parlin. I've lived in Wood River my entire life and can't imagine growing up anywhere else. Most of my family lives in Wood River or very near it, and I am thankful for that because it allows us to be as close as we are. I take school very seriously and have been on every honor roll and been in the top 10 students of my class every time possible. Next year I plan on attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney, but have not yet decided on a major. All I know is I want to be in a job that allows me to help people and make them smile everyday.
Throughout my four years at Wood River I have been involved in many activities and organizations. I played volleyball for all four years and basketball up until my senior year. I am FBLA Vice President, Student Council Vice President, and NHS president. I am also involved in Spanish club, letter club, and freshman 7 mentoring. Because I love to write I have been a part of Journalism throughout high school, and I am now one of two Copy Managers. This year I am one of the Leads in the All school play. I also sing in the choir at my church and teach a Fifth Grade Sunday School class.
Music is my passion and I have been actively involved in music all four years of high school participating in choir, show choir, and being the Drum Majorette in Band. I had the privilege of making all three of the possible choirs for the UNK choir festival at some point. I made the Women's Choir my sophomore year, the Festival Choir my junior year, and the Honor Choir my senior year. I also went to the Doane Honor Choir this year and had a blast. I was part of two musicals, Annie and the Sound of Music, and had leads in both.

My name is Taylor Rae Lambrecht, and I am currently a senior at Wood River Rural High School. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the lake, creating DIY Pinterest ideas, and playing with as many animals as possible. Throughout high school, I have participated in basketball for two years and volleyball for four years. I am a member of FBLA, NHS, Student Council, Letter Club, and Freshmen 7 Mentoring. After graduation, I plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney and possibly major in elementary education.
Hi! My name is Emily Loy and I’m a senior at Wood River High School. My Parents are Scott and Carrie Loy and I have one older sibling, Chris. I am involved in numerous activities both in and outside of school; these activities include, FCA, NHS Vice President, FBLA, 4-H, 4-H Council, Band, YLT, Student Council, Cross Country, Basketball, and Track and Field. I have been involved in Cross Country from my sophomore to senior year. The Cross Country team this year has truly become a family to me. Not being able to run with them next year will be something I miss the most from high school.
Track & Field
I have been involved in Track for four years; my events include the 100m dash, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles and the 4x1 and 4x4 relay. I have qualified for the State Track meet in both my sophomore and junior years as well as earning a state medal in the 4x100 relay both years and breaking the school record in that relay. I will definitely miss running with and against all the great athletes on the team as well as having a great coaching staff to perform for throughout high school.
My name is Lizzy Gannon, and I am a senior at Wood River. I was involved in volleyball all four years of high school. I was also involved in various music organizations, such as choir and show choir. I also participated and had leads in two school musicals: Annie and The Sound of Music. I auditioned for UNK Honor Choir which consists of the Festival Choir, the Women's Choir, and the Honor Choir. I was fortunate enough to be selected for the Honor Choir and hope to be selected again this year. I am involved in many organizations such as FBLA, Spanish Club, Letter Club, Student Council, and I am a freshman 7 leader. I am also president of Spanish Club and Letter Club. I am also very focused on my academics, and I have made the honor roll every semester. For college, I plan to attend a four year university in Nebraska and pursue a career in elementary education.
