During this time I have seen many changes in our school, which included the transition of the Junior High into a Middle School, the consolidation of Wood River Rural Schools into one district, and the addition of the new gymnasium, theater, and wellness center. It has been a great pleasure to be a part of the growth in our schools.
My wife Shelly, our four children and I all graduated from the Wood River school system. I graduated from Wood River in 1982, Shelly in 1981, our daughter Many in 2003, our sons Drew in 2005, Luke in 2011, and Lance in 2012.
Wood River is fortunate to have some of the best teachers and administration to work with. My wish is for the community and school to continue to grow. Having our quality school system is a solid starting block for the growth of our community. After all, the children in Wood River are the building blocks for our future.
I have built many friendships with people while being on the Board of Education and appreciate the bond we have created while working together. I will be attending my last Board of Education meeting this month, but I plan on continuing to be involved and volunteering at the school.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and the district for the past sixteen years as a member of this organization. Wood River Rural Schools are something of which to be very proud!
Sincerely,
Martin Wiseman
